
Janna Chan
Chief Brand Officer
Janna Chan is Chief Brand Officer at EdReports, where she leads the organization’s brand, product, and strategic communications functions. She is responsible for aligning EdReports’ external voice, digital products, and policy strategy to increase relevance, reach, and impact in a rapidly evolving instructional materials landscape. Her work focuses on shaping how the field understands and acts on instructional materials quality and use. Janna brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of communications, digital strategy, and social impact. Prior to EdReports, she led high-impact communications and digital initiatives for organizations including the Gates Foundation, Teach For America, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and Lambda Legal. She began her career as a journalist, with coverage in Seattle Magazine, Seattle Weekly, and The Village Voice. She is also an active public school parent and has served on her district’s Multicultural Advisory Committee. Janna holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Washington.
