ELA 6-8

LearnZillion Guidebooks (grades 6-8) meet the expectations of alignment to the standards and usability. Included texts are appropriately rigorous, engaging, and organized to support students as they build knowledge of topics and themes. The questions and tasks that students complete as they practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening are focused on close reading and demonstrating increasing abilities in these areas. Materials to implement include support for teachers to work with different learners, especially those who struggle, although extra enhancement may be required for students who are above grade level. Ancillary supports (including digital supports) are not distracting and do integrate the work for local adjustments. Assessments included do support teachers in monitoring students' progress as they build their literacy skills over the school years.
